The beta version of Sophis Risque 5.3.2 was released a week ago. A new module, the treasury management module of nostro type instruments should be available soon.

A new version will be produced by Sophis, in order to correct at least some bugs that are currently exist in the Risque v5.3.1 BO Kernel: depending on the configuration and the rules input, postings are produced in the memory cache, but not saved in database.

A patch 5.3.1 should be generated before the end of this year.

A new version of Sophis Risque, the 5.3 one, has been released on the last Friday, 5th October 2007. So, it will be available for clients ASAP. The development platform will be the Visual Studio 2005 one and all C++ code linked to the API or toolkit will be compiled with STLPort again like in the previous versions of Sophis Risque/Value.

In an nutshell, Herve Vinciguerra, founder of Sophis, retains about 20% of the company and will sit on its Supervisory Board. The sale is done through an LBO, the amount seems to be at about 300 million euros, Sophis generating revenues in excess of 48 million euros in 2006.

Pascal Xatart, recruited by Advent Capital and serving, prior joining Sophis, Linedata Services, is nominated as Chief Executive Officer of Sophis.

Concerning the announcement we made on 28th June 2007, we pushed only a link to the acquisition announcement, pusblished in Germany on 12th June.  The merger registration is one of first steps in the process to acquire a company and is mandatory. It means that the merger is not definitively done, but that lawyers are currently mandated to analyse and audit the different companies. Since the acquisition is transfrontier, it will take quite a long time in order to respect the european legislation on company takeover.
